As soon as Major Incident Manager, confirms on the major incident, all the stakeholders must be notified. Planning
should be done for better communication between the stakeholders. The form of communication, frequency and details of
communictaion to be discussed and agreed with the client beforehand.
The Major Incident Manager will also publish Major Incident Status Report which will
ensure that there is common understanding about the major incident status and the actions progressed among the
stakeholders.
The Major Incident Status Report should be structured around the following agenda:

An outline description of the incident

A more detailed impact assessment, based on the major incident record, the Rolling Event Log and initial feedback
from the recovery team

Details of any support teams and other parties already involved

Details of any actions in hand and estimates to recover

Progress achieved so far
-
Introduction of key players included in the recovery team and their roles

Planned time of next general communication
The status report is issued by email to the wider management community, i.e. those who may not be directly involved in
managing the major incident and hence are not attending the conference call.
